Voice listening uses your browser's built-in speech recognition. Your browser sends the microphone audio to its maker for transcription: Apple in Safari (and all iPhone browsers), Google in Chrome. This app never records or stores the audio itself.

You can use the keypad instead, and turn listening on or off any time in Settings.
